Wedding Video Pre-Released (2008-03-09):

The video is viewable in the player below, but since even the majorly compressed video is ~250MB, you may want to download it.  The FLV file is available now by right clicking this sentence and and choosing to 'Save Target'.  A special player is needed to play this format (again which is what I use for my website . . . but you can play it by installing this FLV player (it is an executable downloadable from my site) . A higher quality video is now available as a downloadable '.mov' file (quicktime) if you do the same procedure as the flv on this link (1.2GB) .  If you are running Vista x64 quicktime does not work.  I had to download and install the quicktime alternative and place the file using itunes.  (FYI.  I can't get my wmv writer to work with Vista x64).  I may be able to do an AVI with Divx compression if anybody would rather have that format.

 

I have finally finished the bulk of the video.  It is still only in the pre-release phase and so what you can expect is a mostly final look at the primary content, however there is still a lot planned for this video, but I am hoping that you will enjoy what seeing a few of the memories of the Maui wedding.

Some of my comments . . .

I am still trying to see if there is any more filtering I can do to extract some of the wedding vows, although sadly I think the ocean has eaten most of that . . . although the lips are clearly readable in most cases

I have left the reception relatively uncut right now so you can see what ends up being most of the dialog captured.

There are still a lot of footage outside these core events that I will be adding to the entire video, and I will continue to be doing some adjustments to the current portion viewable in this pre-release, but now is a good time to feedback any comments if you feel that there are things that need to be changed about this.

The next release will be the full version along with all the uncut footage.  The last release will be the DVD which will have compiled everything and indexed properly.

Wedding Video Update (2008-01-31):

Things are going well with the video, but despite the Wedding Preview's claim for a January release date, the video is not yet complete.  I am very confident that by the end of February it will will completed.  When complete I will provide the option to download a compressed video file (WMV by default, but if you have a preference I can accommodate).  I will also be sending out DVD's.  Please e-mail me @ TErickson@Captain-Ty.com if you would like a DVD.  Family who request them will be given a case + inserts.  Friends will just be sent a DVD (unless specifically they have specifically requested a case + the inserts for a small fee which will be determined one they are available).

Wedding Video Update (2007-11):

The wedding video has not yet been completed and it is Captain Ty Productions'  policy to not release the raw footage until the edited video has been finished.

I thank you for your patience as I finish the final edits for release at the beginning of 2008.
